During the winter/spring of 2010, friends and colleagues Cathal Graham, Ian McNulty and Lucy Polden felt there was a wide gap between the larger commercial studios and people's home recording set-ups. We felt that the music industry's adaptation to new technologies and declining record sales was widening this even further despite the fact that more music than ever being created.
With our combined recording equipment collection becoming greater we set about looking for a location where we could pool our collective resources, and create a comfortable, good-sounding environment to record and mix in. Armed with a hefty collection of top class microphones and outboard equipment, our aim has been to provide a central location that feels intimate and friendly, yet is conducive to making great sounding and feeling records. Be it a recording of a band who are set up live and wish to capture the energy of that, to a multi-layered production combining elements recorded at home and overdubbed on and mixed in our studio, to simply demoing new material or recording and mixing live location recordings. Contact us to talk about your project.
